Songs from Oasis, Sublime, Fuel, John Mayer, Styx, The Eagles, Gavin Degraw and Black Crowes to Johnny Cash, BB King, Muddy Waters, The Band, Tom Petty, Mamas and Papas to White Stripes, Ryan Adams, Wilco, Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughann, and Zeppelin - more added all the time. Band provides sound & lights for venues up to 700 seats.
Three members of The New RiVer Band were in the monster cover rock band Drivn that toured nationally performing over 1200 shows the past 9 years. The group reformed late 2009 with a new lead singer, but same rhythm section. The New RiVer Band is cranking it back up and hitting the road to your event in 2010.

Chris Rakes – lead guitar / vocals
As a professional, he has played over 1,200 shows over the past nine years with nationally renowned rock band Drivn. Chris' bands have performed with many national headliners including Puddle of Mudd, Marty Stuart, 38 Special, Blake Shelton, Little Big Town, Keith Sweat, and Drivin' N Cryin'.
Chris has also won numerous awards as a musician as well as several songwriting competitions. His studio experience has led to work with industry veterans Gary Cirimelli (Sony producer/ engineer), Skye Moore (artist/ producer/ songwriter Southern Signal records), Dane Bryant (pianist for Clint Black, Olivia Newton-John), and Joseph Wooten (pianist of the world renowned Wooten Brothers) to name a few.
Jamen Denton – lead vocals / guitars
Entertaining audiences since he was a teenager, this Chicago-born singer/songwriter has been seen on national television several times as a solo acoustic performer. Jamen gained notoriety as the former front man of the critically acclaimed rock/ blues band Virginia Ground. Since joining the New River Band, Jamen has quickly gained a reputation as an unbelievable live vocalist and performer. His blend of soul, blues, rock, and funk has taken audiences by storm since the band began its journey. Like his band mates, Jamen has played shows with several national acts.
Cameron Vaught – drums / percussion / vocals
As a performing vocalist by the age of 7 and four instruments by the age of 12, Cameron brings a unique musical footing to the New River Band. As the son of a touring keyboardist, he was destined to find his home in the music industry. Working alongside his friend Chris Rakes in Drivn, Cameron has also worked with an impressive list of industry veterans. He has also won numerous awards for his drumming and has played on more than 6 featured albums.
Ben Caudill – bass
The New River Band’s youngest member at 22, Ben has been playing professionally since he was 19 years old. Ben's time in national touring rock band Drivn helped prepare him for his role in The New River Band. As a bassist, Ben's greatest quality is his versatility as he is well versed in several styles of music. His work ethic and attitude make him a great asset to the band.
This is a pro band with full sound and lights for bars, clubs, parties, greek events, fairs, festivals, weddings, corporate events and just about any other event you'd want a band for!
